I'm a software engineer. I spent several years building bid management software at BuildingConnected (later acquired by Autodesk), working with both general contractors and subcontractors.
Right now I'm talking with contractors about the back-office work that takes valuable time: how costs get entered, how billing gets put together, what's still being done by hand. I'm not selling anything right now, simply trying to understand the worst problems before I solve them.
